In addition to the fixed braces, loose or removable braces can also be used. Essentially, there are two different types of removable braces: the plate appliance and functional orthodontic braces such as the
activator or bionator on the one hand, and the more state-of-the-art splints from Align Technology or
Invisalign®, called aligners. |
