Bionator | Information from A to Z

Like the activator, the bionator is a removable functional orthodontic appliance. It manipulates tongue, facial and cheek muscles exactly and can therefore stimulate the jaw bone to reshape. The teeth are thus not moved actively but are redirected passively. The bionator is used to treat a malalignment of the jaw where the lower jaw is retrusive. Like the activator, the bionator must be worn for at least twelve hours within a 24-hour period. It should be worn mostly during the day, as it is then that the patient applies the necessary muscle pressure. |
