Transpalatal Arch (TPA) (palatal bar) | Information from A to Z

The transpalatal arch is a wire element connecting the molars on one side of the upper jaw with those of the other side. It enables the first molars to be turned, tilted and moved outwards, and to a limited extent to be moved backwards or forwards.
