Mesiodens | Information from A to Z

This is a surplus, mostly deformed or stunted tooth between the middle incisors 11 and 21, and in rare cases also between the lower incisors 31 and 41. Because a mesiodens rarely erupts spontaneously, only an X-ray can indicate its position. It can be extracted if it erupts, but it usually has to be removed surgically.
