Labial frenulum | Information from A to Z

There is an upper and a lower frenulum running from the middle of the lip to the middle of the gums. Attachment is referred to as high when the attachment of the frenulum to the gums is too close to the teeth. This can lead to a gap between the two front teeth, called a diastema. In such cases the frenulum can be cut (frenectomy) to enable the gap to close. |
