The Frankel III appliance is a removable appliance often used to push the lower jaw forward and to stimulate growth of the upper jaw and midface. Professor Fränkel initially developed this appliance to be worn around the clock for maximum effectiveness. It should be worn for at least twelve hours within a 24-hour period. |
