Early treatment | Information from A to Z

Early orthodontic treatment commences if malalignment of teeth or jaws is diagnosed which can be expected to become worse while patient is still growing, making treatment more difficult. Early treatment is commenced in primary dentition and early mixed dentition and takes one to two years. Malalignment cannot always be fully corrected. It does, however, optimise conditions for later orthodontic treatment and prevents non-physiological growth. |
