An articulator is a device used to hold study models of the jaw to simulate movement of the jaw joints. Models of the patient’s upper and lower jaw are mounted in the articulator, an essential process when making biodynamic functional appliances and replacement teeth. Movement of the lower jaw can be simulated with limited accuracy. |
